Fullstack Software Engineer
We usually respond within a week
Every year, 6 billion SEK of personal accident insurance compensation goes unclaimed in Sweden. Why?
Because navigating the claims process is confusing, time-consuming and overwhelming. At Insurello, we believe the insurance claims process should work for people - not against them. We’re building a tech-powered platform that helps individuals claim the compensation they’re entitled to, with ease and clarity.
We’ve already helped over 50,000 people claim more than 1 billion SEK, and we’re just getting started. Now, we’re looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of our product and make insurance accessible for millions.
Why Insurello?
- Tackle a meaningful challenge: transforming an outdated insurance industry and building a product that genuinely improves people’s lives.
- Join an empowered, cross-functional product team with full ownership of its mission – including significant influence over technical decisions, ways of working, and shaping the product to create customer value.
- Work in a warm, collaborative culture with passionate teammates who value learning, knowledge-sharing, and building technology that truly helps others.
The Role
What Will You Do?
- Work in a cross-functional empowered team to define and develop the product on both strategic and technical levels.
- Build fullstack features using functional programming principles.
- Contribute to system design and domain modeling.
- Work with event-driven patterns, integrations, and cloud-first architecture.
- Collaborate through pair & mob programming to build shared ownership and quality.
- Participate actively in product discovery, planning, and continuous improvement.
- Share learnings across teams to drive clarity, alignment, and innovation.
- Explore AI tools to improve development flow, reduce manual work, and deliver value more efficiently.
What stack will you work with?
- Languages & frameworks: Elm, TypeScript, F#, ASP.NET Core. We’re passionate about functional programming, and hope that you are interested in it too.
- DBs: PostgreSQL
- Data & events: Event sourcing, RabbitMQ
- Infrastructure: AWS platform
Who are we looking for?
From a technical perspective, we’re looking for someone who has:
- 6+ years of fullstack development experience.
- Interest in and experience with technologies from our stack or similar ones (such as Elm, TypeScript, F#, or other functional programming languages).
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and applying AI to improve workflows or user-facing processes.
- Knowledge of system design, ideally with domain-driven thinking.
- Strong understanding of web technologies beyond frameworks.
- Experience with event-driven systems, event sourcing, or distributed systems.
- Professional fluency in both English and Swedish.
On a personal level, a great fit for the role is:
- Curious, collaborative, and focused on simplicity, clarity and pragmatic decisions.
- Someone who enjoys owning both the problem and the solution - from understanding the domain to building, deploying and learning from what one ships.
- A product-minded engineer who codes with purpose: you understand the customer problem as well as the business possibilities and limitations.
- A challenger who speaks up, shares opinions, and encourages experimentation and innovation.

About Insurello
Every year, millions of euros are lost in unused and unclaimed insurance compensation for personal injuries. There are many who do not understand their rights and common insurance terms, but above all, it is lengthy paperwork that makes many people ignore completing their application.
Once the injured go through the whole process, they often miss out on unknown insurances that they directly or indirectly pay for. That is why we have created Insurello - to ensure that our customers have an easier way to fair compensation.
